After Carter I, Wayne was done. Carter II was all Northeast flow and the songs aren't actually that good now. I agree with the OP.

I don't know what the fukk ya'll talking bout, Weezy carried the game on his back during that Carter III era.:lawd:

Lil Wayne isn't a lyrical nerd, he an artist who does his own thing and does it well. He gets paid, he get bytches, he put nikkas on, how can you hate a boss?:ehh:

I've been calling everything C3 and later from wayne Bubble gum rap. Its catchy and good that 1st year, after that is loses all flavor and it's just not good.

Believe me is the 1st track in a long time that doesn't feel like that.

Alot of songs are like that though now, the last 8 years have been full of that bubble gum rap stuff. Not even one hit wonders really, just catchy songs that get kinda big and then 2 years later sound like:scust: when you hear them.

I disagree. His prime era shyt is still hard. Dedication 1 & 2 Carter 1 & 2 all dope.

Da Drough 3 & C3 Sessions had heat also.

I'm not really sure where Wayne's quality at these days because I have lost complete interest in dude.

Been wack since "C3". :manny:

To the people that used to like his shyt, and now don't....how old were you then, vs now? I'm just curious.

Fred.

C3 was a real drop off for Wayne, although the shyt is still pretty decent. It went downhill for dude after that although he still had a few moments here and there. C4 was an abomination.

I was 19-20 during the Blocks Hot & Lights Out area. That was actually some good music although I considered Wayne a hardcore kid rapper.

I got into dude seriously from the latter squad tapes and then Dedication 1 & C1, I was like 24. I was low key a Stan of dude at that point. I remember there being a war between young rap fans and the old heads who couldn't bring themselves to consider dude to be a dope rapper.

Camel's or 50's tracks age the worst

I disagree totally. 50 cent especially his old shyt still bang as well as Guint. Jay made music that some people can relate too success and his songs back then not now had substance vol1 2 3 were crazy good.

I agree but Wayne is too much Drake now he has drake on every damn thin of his now. I admit maybe it was the era but dip set had crazy shyt I mean I can go on T.I Etc

Certain shyt holds up but I think its that because of the sheer volume of material he was releasing at one point, it caused his fame to skyrocket, but it did also lead to a good amount of disposable music to be dropped between the good stuff
