I don't know if I've seen a "______ ain't aged well" thread that I've truly respected

Never said he was wack always but his shyt from back then don't bang now like some other artists but that nikka wack now.

C3 was a real drop off for Wayne, although the shyt is still pretty decent. It went downhill for dude after that although he still had a few moments here and there. C4 was an abomination.

I was 19-20 during the Blocks Hot & Lights Out area. That was actually some good music although I considered Wayne a hardcore kid rapper.

I got into dude seriously from the latter squad tapes and then Dedication 1 & C1, I was like 24. I was low key a Stan of dude at that point. I remember there being a war between young rap fans and the old heads who couldn't bring themselves to consider dude to be a dope rapper.

I thought he was pretty nice on basically everything pre-"C3".

Then "Lollipop" dropped, which I thought was horrifically wack, then "A Milli", which I liked, then "C3" which I didn't like except a couple songs. Then the whole entire world jumped on his dikk.

I've never seen fans campaign so hard for a rapper to be called the GOAT on arguably his worst album. Until "C4" obviously.

honestly Wayne was a cool rapper but that's it. Carter 1 and 2 were good albums but for some reason people are trying to force them to be classic.

lil wayne was easily accessible punchline rap in its simplest form and with a commercial & southern twist.

so i understand why hes popular. thats the perfect blueprint for that time period.

but at the same time, i knew not to get caught up in the hype. everything he was popular for, was already being done way better by others.

carter 2 was fire idk what you talkin about

album was a dissappointment.

well i already expected the drop in quality from C1 seeing that C2 had no mannie or gillie. plus he dropped that cheesy "fireman" single beforehand.

As far a songs go that actually say something and have a point of reference or subject matter. Yeah he's been flavor of the month, since C3. Wanye has a bunch of hot lines, that he turns into a hot song, not a good song, but a hot song.

Once you realize he's not saying anything about anything and its really just a bunch of soulless rambling edited together to make a song..... there kinda meh.

I am listening to dudes albums today and I was like damn these tracks aged horribly from A Milli to Bring it Back to the entire carter 2 album. He will probably go down as one the most overrated artists in rap.

Just listen to Nore old albums shyt sound better than Wayne's and they as twice as old. Just my thoughts for the day and Drake got timeless classics them bytch songs will never go out.
