Ehhhh, OJ, Waka, and Keef consistently drop stuff. I'll give you Joc though, cause outside of LHH, he does nothing music related. The thing is, with the current social media climate, it's hard to be completely absent, for better or worse.

nikkaz think just cuz they aren't checking for a particular artist anymore that NOBODY else is or they not droppin music or doin shows. thats why you can't really take any of the coli dudes serious riding hype trains on these new cats

What potential?! :comeon:

The reason lyrics don't matter to these clowns is because their reading comprehension is null and void..and that's not the sad part.

Artists like him and every other mumble mouth are not actually trying to be great by how good they put words and phrases together but convincing everyone else that they are great...they can't put words together they're on that "fake it til you make it".

I truly believe jingle writers have infiltrated Hip Hop.

flocka and keef been on the way out
oj, shawty lo, and joc have been milk carton status

waka shyt all over lyrical hip hop and when he lost his buzz he tried to start rapping better but it was already too late.

Keef is not on his way out. a lot of younger people still listen to him. And a lot of artists coming out are still influenced by even his later stuff.

And this is fukking fire

:

Keef gotta just stop working w/ Zaytoven and producers who don't compliment his later style and he'll be good.

Who was it that said "In the 90s...a mid 20s black male was the CEO of a company. Now a mid 20s black male is a childish rapper with colorful hair spitting nursery rhymes" or something like that shyt? The quote was in someone's sig.

Is there a place for intelligent black men anymore in hip-hop? Better yet...are intelligent black men even wanted in hip hop anymore? I'm so bothered by the emergence of all of these types. And we know black people aint supporting them like that....its all these white hipster types that want that escapism that secrety love the image of the dumbed down negro who's nonconfrontational, unintelligent, a caters t0 their preconceived notions and stereotypes of black infeririority.

And if this comment makes me sound :flabbynsick: i dont care....in some of the worst times for black folks I've witnessed lately...why are all of these uber dumbed down lil and young rappers emerging? It really bothers me.
I'm feeling the same way. Every rappers sound the same and use the same repetitive production. I dont like none of the new emerging rappers. The rap culture has completely lost its balance. The new rappers wouldnt be a problem if there were more artistic rappers that can create a classic in the mainstream stage.

If you can't fukk with none of the new rappers that's on you :yeshrug: you probably just keep your ear and attention on cats like Yachty. Uzi with big hype while igboring more lyrical cats with not nearly as much hype anyways

As a 20 yr old I must say, Yachty is ass. I have yet to run into a living soul not on the Internet who listens to 21 savage or playboi carti(both ass btw) nikkas fukk with uzi, but he's garbage also lol. None of these nikkas have longevity. Their hyped among the tumblr crowd and the hipster white boards, but will be tossed away when a new weirdo come around.

Sidenote: when I say their garbage I'm not saying it in a traditional dusty Bluetooth wearing titled oversized NY Yankee fitted nikka way. I mean from a musical standpoint none of them dudes make anything exciting to me. Nothing they make stand out( besides 1night) they all simply sound bland or just corny, 21 sounds like a typical Chicago nikka. And all of Uzi's song sound the same, and his music isn't even good enough where you can go "ehhhh fukk it, it bumps" Its literally the same topics, over the same sounding beat using the same flow. That shyts trash.

Also @biscuitsnbangers no one besides lames listens keef. Maybe "earned it" at a party or a few loosies, but a whole tape cats would look at you like :dahellcurry: " you still bump this nikka?"

Free Kodak though:mjcry:

This ain't ":flabbynsick:" at all, it's just some logical thought out stuff. Funny thing about the rap climate right now (well honestly, music in general), is that the mass availability of social media exposes people to everything they can handle....yet it seems like the same shyt gets pushed non-stop, like 1 lone machine is purposely behind it. i had music I hated 10 years ago (D4L, Mims, V.I.C., etc), but I've never felt insulted and almost embarrassed to be a fan of rap until some of these recent dudes like Lil Yachty, Uzi, Young Thug, but 80% of those GBE/300 dudes, and some others popped up. It's like they're flat out not even trying. And it ain't like i listen to Hopsin and Vinnie Paz, or some extreme backpacker shyt, I listen to a good amount of Future, Riff Raff, Juicy J, and other dudes like that, but I can also turn around and listen to Phonte, Skyzoo, and dudes like that. That's the problem right now, there's no balance at all in hip hop, and it's been that way for a long time. A whole bunch of mess is being pushed to the forefront and and everything else seems to be getting blocked out. I used to think Soulja Boy was one of the worst rappers I've ever heard. Never did I imagine that there would be dudes coming up worse than him

Rap music keeps on declining. The new generation rappers have no interests in building their rap skills up and expanding the subject matters. Every music is about trapping, fukking bytches, and shooting up a nikka. In the 90s and early 2000s we had Outkast, Common, Talib Kweli and few other conscious rappers to balance the street music. Now, the scale lean far to the left. The vast music in the rap culture have became unrelatable.
