On a serious note..

how can a movie have two all time great villain performances .....and they are the same character

Brazil is racist as fukk. Even though they have the largest black population outside of Africa, you would never know that from watching Brazilian television. If they had a better infrastructure and more money, black folks out there could be making their own movies with dope stories - and I don't just mean hood shyt.

It's a shame because their black actors are quite dope and mad intelligent, but they have it even worse than the U.S.A. It must be a real mind fukk knowing you were a character in a masterpiece of a movie but still struggling like everyone else only a few years down the line.

Benny's Farewell is one of the most powerful scenes ever.

Almost greek tragedy esque after what happened to Shaggy. You also see a human side to Lil Ze. He wanted that bad chick so bad...

However, Knockout Ned already pulled that. So he couldnt pull any bad chicks without force and his best friend was leaving him. Had Lil Ze feeling .

Sad thing is a lot of the folks in that movie are still broke living in favelas and shyt. The only ones who really popped off is that white broad Rocket was in love with who got with Bennie and Seu Jorge who is a famous singer. I can't think of anyone else who really made it after the film was over. There is a 10 year documentary about the cast I've been trying to find but can't.

Lil Di'ce and Steak with Fries might be the only other ones that ended up working after. They had their own spinoff, City of Men on TV for 4 years, then they got their own movie.
