Thought this was known.
Black people ran with the government loan conspiracy cause alot of us can't even imagine this level of community partnership :dead:

I think this is why chinese take out spots always rotate owners like every 5-10 yrs. The previous owners essentially retire and just pass the business to another member of the community co-op , probably selling the shyt at a discount :wow:

This is true...I seen this first hand with a vietnamese owned mechanic shop I use to take my cars to.

Dominicans call it “San”

Looking from another perspective

You really don’t have to do this with a group. You can easily put more money in your 401K, maximize your IRA, buy index shares etc. And I think Black Americans understand and do this; therefore, the need to do this is no longer needed unlike first and second generation immigrants where these types of financial is not the norm.

also people forget some immigrants have some considerable amount of bread already set up, especially if they coming here legally.

10 people with 10k each. isn't some unobtainable shyt.

Whenever these threads pop up on the coli the first thing brehs want to do is shyt like the above instead of believing that these are reachable goals you start throwing hurdles in front of yourself

Also we are american. Most these foreigners come here as a goal to do as well as they can to go back home
Or to bring there family from home and bring them here.

It would be the equivalent of an expat working for a big time american company in a foreign country. Then criticizing the people in that country for how they live.

IMO people who leave their homes to go away to another country to work, live get educated are wired differently. Their outlook is totally different than other folks.

Its like kats who take a job in indian ocean on a oil rig and makes 200k in a year. Or a guy who takes a 300k a year job in iraq. Them kats look at living in another country as a means to an end and are wired totally differently than a person who lives in that country.

Also we got to stop comparing the best of the best another country has to offer to a regular person from this country. Cause some of these folks who setting up shop here are folks who were business owners (and highly educated) from the country they came from.

I can tell you for a fact that it isn’t the case for most immigrants...you don’t need to be the best of your country, you need to have drive and discipline which exist at any socioeconomic level. A culture of drive, community partnership goes a long way. It’s like the concept of compound interest you multiply your income and that small pea can become something big. I find too many people want to complain about what they can’t do as an excuse to not do anything. You have to start somewhere, you can’t wait to make it “big” expecting your good fortune will come when you make millions.

That isn’t even most immigrants...I can tell you that many immigrants either came as refugees, or had several family members pitch in their money to help get them here and now they must pay it back.

The point is people work together to achieve goal, $5 by yourself isn’t ish but $5 multiplied by 20 people is $100.

This sounds very misleading. She's not telling how or where each person gets the 10k, that's important.
They work and live together under one roof that's how. They also don't spend money frivolously and have an end goal in mind. It's easy to save up $10k in less than a year if you ain't paying much in rent. Not spending money on vacations, clothes, liquor/partying every weekend, eating out, etc.

Yall act like black folks haven't tried "group economics for the past 160 years.

Like all our efforts haven't been crushed. It's fair to directly compare our economic situation to immigrants who have totally different situations (and who are getting government aid to startup please believe).

These immigrants were setting up shop in the 70's while black folks were getting sold "do for self" politics when we never had the capital to "do for self". We should not have to pool our money together like undocumented people under the radar. We (ADOS blacks) should have prosperous banks to support business endeavors.

Why we don't have capital or strong black banks.

It's crazy how people think you're supposed to have shyt when you're attacked from all sides.

Bruh how them shyts work.. a different member is getting the total sum every week
$100 is doable
The normal susu, you do not make a single contribution and call it a day
10k every 6 months is.not possible for an average worker
And why would she mention, they have to pay it back when the business is successful?

What she's describing is something different from what other communities do

I really have to wonder what incomes you guys are generating because you guys act like your getting a kiddie allowance every 2 weeks.

No one in your family has 10k to contribute twice a year for 5 years straight

Haitians do this, called "mains". My aunt used to always run it. Definitely not for $100K. $10K at most for the ones I've been in.

A person making $40k a year takes home $32,000 after taxes. That's $16,000 every 6 months. If they're only paying like $300 or so a month in rent that leaves them $14,200 after that. That leaves them with $4,200 to spend on whatever they want in those 6 months. That's very doable if you're willing to make sacrifices (what do those people do outside of work and going home anyways?)

She said it's 10-20 people and Im assuming not everyone is contributing $10k every 6 months. Some might contribute a little more sometimes and some might contribute less (most likely those with more successful business contributing more).
