If only we could get together and do the same thing.

Other groups do the same thing. I used to know a Jamaican cab back in Philly who said that Jamaicans would do the same exact thing this lady is talking about. I don't think the trust is there with black Americans to do this. It's a very good idea though.

May not be trust, per se . Think its more so an enforcement issue. Actually, the same reason we cant reel in our c00ns. For the system to work, there has got to be social pressure and consequences for you fcking with 12 other people's finances.

In the states, we just arnt that close knit for us to offer benfits to eachother which could be repealed when someone betrays our system.

At best we can loan each other $50 dollars or enough to not get evicted, but in a bigger lineage; if you dont pay back, then you messed up $50 times 50 (or more) extended relatives' help in the future.

This sounds very misleading. She's not telling how or where each person gets the 10k, that's important.

Yep a bunch of black folks getting 10K putting it into a cash pot makes cacs highly suspicious and then they call the cops and do everything in their power to sabotage you... :beli:

How dare you negroes do group economics!!! :picard: we have to give a call the IRS to do a full audit to make sure that money isnt drug money:mjpls: just because...

How the fukk is that relevant?

My interpretation of the message is that Black Americans can do the same thing. We know that Black Americans have very little money and very low income collectively and the majority of that money is spent on basic necessities such as housing, and food. Knowing where and how they got the money is an important detail if you think the majority of Black Americans in poverty can do the same.

Breh you know how hard it would be to get a group of us to pool money together...and then 1 uses the 100k to pay back when he gets up? You already know nikkas ain’t tryna be Boo Boo the Fool :mjlol:

Ok not $10k, maybe $5k...$1k per person and build up over a couple years. The goal is to pool money and businesses can be started with less than $100k.
