10 years with the same company now im looking for a job in a new industry and linkedin is more like facebook than it is careerbuilder or monster. No wonder the unemployment rate is so high. The site is so poor. Its cluttered

i want something like google jobs.coom where you just fill out a short form and send in your resume and cover letter. i dont want to sign up for a million sites

Connections are what get you jobs, breh. That old expression "It's who you know, not what you know," is a cliche because it's true.

LinkedIn does a better job of putting you in front of employers and hiring managers than most other job boards.
