Popular YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips has been hacked this morning, with the channel’s 15.3 million subscribers seeing videos for crypto scams instead of tech hardware reviews. It’s the latest breach in a series of high-profile YouTube accounts being hacked, with scammers regularly gaining access to prominent accounts to rename them and livestream crypto scam videos.

First dude dropped the hard "r", and now this shyt happens. Maybe he should had just retired when he became a meme with the serious face video.

Muthaur should be safe tbh. He does so much shyt through VPNs and Linux

Kitboga is a definite possibility but idk if he does ads or things like that a lot.

The attack vector is a .src screensaver disguised as a pdf for like a product placement or something about ad revenue. It steals session cookies and uses that to bypass authenticators. Iirc, linus and a lot of others have theirs on totally different phones.

Will be interesting to see if this is the same one that hit everyone or a completely new one.

idk too much about him…I’ve watched a couple of his vids for electronic product reviews/previews…from the few vids that I’ve watched he’s annoying af tho…then again so are a lot of these high energy personalities on youtube

I mean...he's more miss than hit lately. For every video where he overkills on sponsors and being hyped as fukk, there's a video of him being informative, being overkill on sponsors, and being hyped as fukk.

But yeah, most tech channels are all over the damn place. If you are not jumping on a chair, you are not getting clicks and views.
