I'm not a linux expert but will try my best to help. Did you make any changes to your source.list files? What are you trying to do that caused you to run sudo apt update(outside of update the package list).

What's the link to where you made your request?

Your apt update is showing Disco Dingo while your /etc/apt/sources.lst is Xenial Xerus.

Is this a failed upgrade?

I actually re-installed 18.04 and started fresh, I have to re-install gns3 tonight. I will find the post.

Gns3 was the problem, this is the guide I ran to install it. GNS3 works damn near perfect on Linux so I stuck with that. but the sources got messed up.
