I'm not a linux expert but will try my best to help. Did you make any changes to your source.list files? What are you trying to do that caused you to run sudo apt update(outside of update the package list).

What's the link to where you made your request?

Your apt update is showing Disco Dingo while your /etc/apt/sources.lst is Xenial Xerus.

Is this a failed upgrade?

I wouldn’t go to no other but unburying first personal use.
