Lionsgate and Saban Brands Team for POWER RANGERS Live Action Feature Film

kid movies always do well...they got the nostalgia audience and the grade school audience.

But will they market it to kids? I feel they will try to of course get the kids to come but to also "advance" the Power Rangers so that we can be like "Ooooh their new suits are shiny! I gotta see it" and go the Transformers route of going for the action hungry audience.

It may indeed do numbers, I just think their banking too much on a nostalgia audience that won't be there. Power Rangers has been doing reunions and specials the past few years and none of the nostalgia audience cares. I think they're just setting themselves up for a failure thinking a movie will do numbers.

People who like TMNT, GI Joe, Transformers, and Pacific Rim will like this movie. Its familiar to them.

I feel ya. I just don't think Power Rangers gonna have that big a following. It only had like a real 5 year run at the top at best. I think they overestimating the Power Rangers audience.

The same nostalgia crowd who hypes up Power Rangers on message boards and blogs gonna be the same audience saying "Eh, I'll check it out next week." The nostalgia is strong but it's not "they need to remake it into a movie so I can go see!" strong, IMO. I could be wrong though.

Edit: At their peak, the first Power Rangers movie barely did anything big at the box office.

Saban can't even make a half decent season anymore. Megaforce/Super Megaforce is trash and a real struggle to get through just to see the Legendary War in the finale.

Word? Explain breh, this is my first time hearing about it. From what I understood, Jason Zack and Trini wanted more money, the producers refused to cave and replaced them. Eventually the fences were mended and Jason was able to come back in the Turbo movie and as the gold ranger in Zeo
