Actually it was the claim of her having bipolar disorder that was being refuted. Her face has the butterfly rash which is one of the symptoms of lupus.

I just going by what her mom told People (that she is mentally ill and has been since her 2001 divorce). If she does have lupus that is sad, but I haven't seen one credible source to confirm it (just rumors and blogs). Lupus is a very devastating disease (one of my students parents had lupus), but I'll believe her mom until a credible source says differently.
