List circumstances you deem acceptable reasons for becoming a "fan" of a different team

Tell me does this count... I know a dude who became a Knicks fan last year cause of the Nets moving, he tried to use so many excuses on why it was acceptable but now he wants to come back because of all the offseason moves the Nets made.

if they are out of the playoffs i root for colts or broncos, red sox, or bulls.

The only time I ever truly considered not rooting for the Jets anymore was when dumbass Woody Johnson said something akin to rather having Mitt Romney win the presidency to the Jets winning a Bowl. That shyt had me fed on two levels.
