The best ones retired.

Jericho was over the first few years he was in the WWE but after that he was a career mid-carder until his HBK program. If he was top ten of all time over he would have been a perennial main eventer. He never got reactions to warrant being in the top ten of all time and certainly was never as over as Bryan and Punk.

Imo, Jericho at his best was good to very good, but spent most of his career kind of half assing it or being awkward. He was always clearly a rung below the top WCW midcard talent, and he really didn't mesh with a lot of guys in WCW or WWE. His best role was as a comedy midcarder and the only time I ever bought him as a true main event guy was during his feud with Rock.

:mjlol: He's a hipster wrestling fan. There's no damn way Lawler is 6th all time in the ring.

I'm not damn hipster anything

I know that's the reaction Lawler gets because most people know him for being a color commentator (that has sucked ass for almost a decade) or a forgettable WWE wrestler.

But Jerry has classic feuds and matches dating back to the 70's (he's the only person I've seen that can make Harley Race interesting for a whole damn hour) and even broken down and old as fukk he could do enough to entertain me.

Only a handful of people have been able to get so many classic feuds with so many very different people. Lawler was amazing in Memphis (70's, 80's and 90's) and was able to do great stuff in WCCW and AWA when given the chance. And was also pretty damn great at making complete bums look good and have interesting programs and matches.

I get if people don't have any interesting in watching his work it's fine, and I get not being able to even imagine him having dope matches. But I have seen them, and there's fukk ton of them, so he's always gonna be high for me on a list like this :manny:

No AJ Styles or HBK?

I never really followed AJ much in TNA. Watched some great matches but I haven't seen enough (compared to other people) to fully judge him. If I ever do it he'd probably be really high if his early work in NWA Wildside and other indies + TNA holds up.

HBK wasn't that far from Jericho when I did that list in March :manny:

To me, none of his matches hold up in 2016. He worked a slow, boring style.

AJ is a once in a generation talent, imo. Shame the majority of his career was squandered in TNA with terrible booking and a small audience.
Squandered? Many of his best matches were in TNA. He helped put TNA on the map......before Hogan and friends came in and fukked that all up. :scust:

No AJ Styles or HBK?
Jericho was more well rounded compared to Michaels.

Yeah, I can see that. Jerry's matches consist of mostly punches, one body slam and a couple of other really basic moves. But what I love about him is how he builds drama to the point the crowd goes batshyt crazy, tells a story by doing so little and he has the GOAT punches in wrestling history. He's the master of simple and effective and I'm a huge fan of that.

Great list. I would prob have jericho somewhere between 35-50 if i really sat down to do a list. Not enough brehs know the puro and lucha legends from other eras. Jericho while very good-to great at times is nowhere the true virtuoso workers if you consider the entire landscape of wrestling. Same for hbk( while I'd rate him higher).:yeshrug:

I have to agree. Irvine is a great talent. But he needs to go see his kids :mjcry:
Chris doesn't wanna spoil those stupid little brats so he makes sure to treat them to the Gift of Jericho only once or twice a year :wow: It keeps their bond special, what a father :wow:

The criteria for ranking ppl here changes all the time. And I notice ppl use a certain criteria as a flaw for one wrestler but not as a a flaw for others.

With that said, jericho is manitoba's greatest wrestler of all time.

Was about to post about the lack jokes about his kids...then i kept scrolling...lol
