no.... they don't
every system has had pretty much the same exclusive franchises since ps1 and og xbox
yet the sales don't match that up at all
price and marketing sells systems... dreamcast not having EA sports (multiplat) killed it
exclusives don't even sell themselves so how the hell are they the sole reason for people buying systems??

At the end of the day we all know PS4 is the superior system.... even if it's a multiplat game. The core gamer is probably now firmly in Sony's camp.
Based on what ive seen on the xbox one im am seriously not impressed. And as a gamer I'm just looking at microsoft with the disappointment. because their exclusives are kinda garbage...
I mean forza, it's ok. we got GT. Sunset Overdrive. meh. Meach was really Capping for kinect just dance???

tlou a few months ago would be a ps3 game to you since its exclusivity is what made it so but now since its coming to ps4 also, going with your logic its not a ps3 nor ps4 game because its out on two platforms.

- TLOU - Didn't own a PS3 so I missed out. Already have this pre-ordered.
- Walking Dead - Played through it last gen, but with a $29.99 price tag I'll def grab it again for convenience, and the writing alone warrants it.
- Unity - Ubisoft had lost me as a customer with the Kavon ordeal, but given the evidence presented shortly afterwards, I'm convinced was a random occurrence.
- 2K15 - Really interested to seeing the strides 2K can make. 2K7 was world's better than 2K6 on the 360, hopefully history repeats itself.
I'll grab GTA V eventually, but I won't be double dipping anytime soon unless the experience is somehow considerably better on next gen, which I don't expect it to be considering it's likely a simple port.
DA: Inquisition could be a good game, but what I've seen hasn't persuaded me into giving them 60 bones. DA 2 was a disappointment, and I'm definitely skeptical going forward.

i know that saying has been out forever. but i've never once, seen ANY type of sales numbers to push that theory as a fact
you can't tell me systems with install bases into 60 million and above... are being MAJORITY sold to people who buy games that sell 10 million
og xbox sold 24 million... halo sold 6.5.. that's not a system seller to me. 360 sold 60 million.. highest selling game was for kinect... then gta 5... then halo 3.... again.. not a system seller.. and gears is who knows where on the list
MY point is.... drop with great games PERIOD... don't matter what system they are on. if you got a system out and there's no comp (360) you gonna sell regardless
if you known for great exclusives and drop being 200 dollars more than your comp (ps3) expect nobody to care
if you drop within weeks of each other, but one system is 100 cheaper... but the other system has way more exclusives (this gen) then you still get outsold by the cheaper one
it's like MJ said once to his teammates... "don't worry about bringing your A game... just bring a game"
don't worry about dropping halo/uncharted day 1... just have some fukking games for people to play that they like, and they'll use other things (price, marketing, e3 fiascos) to gain the edge
