For me personally, A FPS has to have some sort of sci-fi/magic elements to hold my attention. A realistic military shooter (COD/BF) is fukking boring to me. I honestly can't stand the undeserving success of Call Of Duty and in my view it is the worst thing to happen to the industry.

Co-Sign. Crysis is the only FPS I've played to completion in the last 10 years. FPS games are the McDonalds dollar menu of gaming, as far as I'm concerned.

It was the first game to fully utilize the Dualshock controller back on PS1.

Developers were still using the dpad as the way for gamers to control their character. Even in 3D games. And if games used the left analog for control, they rarely did anything with the right stick or the stick buttons (L3 and R3).

Ape Escape came out and changed all of that though. It also brought new aspects to how rumble was being used. It basically showed the promise of the Dualshock controller which at that time was not being used to it's potential before the release of that game.

i can't play games where you have to fight robots, weird creatures or fantasy shyt while being a human.

i haven't watched one of these new type of serious cinema type series, like walking dead, boardwalk empire, game of thrones, sons of anarchy etc. haven't seen a minute of either. Only watched the first 3 episodes of dexter. Something about everybody talking about these shows makes me not want to watch them.

I hate fiction writing unless it's hypothetical scenarios about real historic events.

i never understood the appeal of anime or those weird Japanese horror films. They all just seem like Japanese people trying too hard to be creative and making some marvel/hollywood type bootleg.

i think transformers is a stupid ass story. The main robot is a trucker rig.

• I'm against all the monster mash bullshyt in animes, especially when it started off with humans vs. humans and then it becomes humans vs. godzilla creatures (a la Naruto)

I think Naughty Dog is the best video game developer in the world.

I think all third person games are better than first person games.

I think halo is overrated.

I believe Gears of War is better than Halo.

Word? Was this before MGS1? I thought that was the game to do all this.

I remember MGS implementing the rumble well, but the controls weren't that great. I don't remember but couldn't MGS be played with a regular PS1 pad without the analog sticks?
