ye's early albums have been interchangeable to me for a while but as i listen to late registration right now, i think this is ye's best

i take back what i said in the past, this was a huge step up from the college dropout album

i agree with the rest of his catalog bein' strong. definitely
i just don't like life of pablo but that 1 bad album IMO out of 7 albums

tlop is probably his weakest project but has some of my favorite songs. lyrically it was a drop from yeezus so i won't even argue it being a lyrical drop from late registration/college dropout.

i still wanna hear the album that would have had all day and only one on there, though.

Anybody that says LOP is a good album has their head shoved up Kanye's azz.

And I'm a HUGE Kanye fan, LOP sounds like a half efforted rushed album.
Ye is a tough position. He wants to make albums that are both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. Critics loved yeezus but it was polarizing to people who aren't hipster or music heads. And as all day flopping hard AF proves, nobody wants to see him dikk riding whatever sound is hot either. CD>LR>G>808&HB>MBDTF, I mean he had to fall off eventually. That's 5 classics back to back. I love Yeezus too but I acknowledge that it's going to be polarizing to the average listener (although I'm seeing people change their mind about it due to it spawning Travis Scott and others, the same way 808 spawned Drake, I don't think it'll have a revisionist history like 808 though). Dude also married into a family of cave demons that fukked his head up. He needs inspiration. I hope Kendrick and Chance can do it.

I consider 808's&HB as an R&B album, but thats another discussion.........

I think I'm extremely one of the few people that don't get into the whole ''The Kardashian family''
and the death of his mother changed Kayne's music discussion. If you followed Kanye from
day one you knew sooner or later his career was going to take a strong abrupt turn, hell if you
listen (Study) to Graduation you could see Kanye's music was starting to change he stopped using
soul samples and started using techno beats.

IMO
LR > CD > G > MDTF > WTT > Y

I'm talking about the quality not the sound direction

As a whole album, TLOP comes across very messy and I can imagine that you would think he lost it, that were my first thoughts too.

But if you take the individual songs, it's great.

Real Friends is that Kanye from Late Registration

30 Hours and NMPILA both have the old skool Ye feeling from his very early work

Saint Pablo is an amazing song where Ye deals maturily with things going on

Ultralight Beam is a great, unique sounding song where Ye's trying something new, sadly misses some Ye bars tho

Then you have other songs like Wolves, FML, FSMH, which are also outstanding songs, but the ones I mentioned are up there with Ye's very best

Yeezus imo was way worse
