Nah. I love those albums but nah. Especially not College Dropout. The production value on that is a huge step below Pablo & LR. You can also hear him punching in like crazy on that album.

The best songs on Pablo can stack pretty well with the best from those albums. Those albums are more coherent as albums for sure and have better subject matter. But Ye does some things better on Pablo than those albums. His appreciation for drums and percussion in general get better over time. His use of guest features are better over time. The album sequencing are better too.

I didn't care for the Yeezus or TLOP that much. I won't say they're hot garbage because they did have a few songs I f*cked with. But, I prefer Graduation Kanye. IMO that album was fresh from beginning to end. It struck a perfect balance to me and it was more streamlined. No corny interludes, or excessive bloat. Just 13 cuts of dope sh*t! Although, I'd replace drunken hot girls with bittersweet poetry.

Considering that he recorded a good bulk of that album on a Roland VS1880. :yeshrug:

But to be honest, his first 2 albums are interchangeable to me as his best. Sonically, Late Registration blew College Dropout out of the water, but that feeling of the first album. :mjcry:

Kanye made more mature music in his mid 20's then when he's pushing 40. His desperate attempts at staying at the forefront of the culture since WTT have been an embarrassment. Kanye is done, and folks who think otherwise are equally as lost and desperate to remain part of the 'in' crowd.

Ye is a tough position. He wants to make albums that are both critically acclaimed and commercially successful. Critics loved yeezus but it was polarizing to people who aren't hipster or music heads. And as all day flopping hard AF proves, nobody wants to see him dikk riding whatever sound is hot either. CD>LR>G>808&HB>MBDTF, I mean he had to fall off eventually. That's 5 classics back to back. I love Yeezus too but I acknowledge that it's going to be polarizing to the average listener (although I'm seeing people change their mind about it due to it spawning Travis Scott and others, the same way 808 spawned Drake, I don't think it'll have a revisionist history like 808 though). Dude also married into a family of cave demons that fukked his head up. He needs inspiration. I hope Kendrick and Chance can do it.
not just any cave demons too.

Only issue I had with Pablo was the lack of rhyming ability. I wanted that Watch The Throne level of lyricism that we know Ye can do. The production on Pablo was some of his best. CD & LR are classic Ye but I still think Graduation is his best overall album.
