Just regular black men living life tryna make it.

Exactly breh. No outrageous tales. Just rapping about shyt you’re likely to go through. May the Lord Watch is one of my favorite albums. Grown man raps

Saying this, I just realized the majority of people might not be interested in listening to shyt they live through everyday. They’d rather live through larger than life characters

True. I like the fantasy lifestyle raps too. But listening to some shyt I've went thru or currently going thru is some amazing shyt. X Nas Jay etc got relatable shyt in there. But LB has had a whole career spitting that everyday man life. Yes MTLW is an amazing album. Their catalog is insane. Mixtapes and all.

I also can play Common, Lupe, Roots, Masta Ace's Disposable Arts and Long Hot Summer as well.

Was coming from AC bumping The Roots UnDun then I played LB's The Minstrel Show and The Foreign Exchange's Connected. Some legendary albums put me thru so many different emotions. Finally some groups that I can actually just relate to. Just regular black men living life tryna make it. How did these guys not blow up. Definitely came out in the wrong era when commercialism was at its peak.
Just relatable and not in a corny way which seems so hard to do well.

I really thought Drake would've signed them to OVO the way he used to meatride them during his Comeback Season era. And I also thought Cole would at least do a collab seeing as they're from the same state. Just weird. But I know Phonte has made plenty money with the Foreign Exchange projects.

Phonte never wanted to sign to a Major Label ever again after the hell they went through with Atlantic. Its one of the reasons the group broke up initially because Pooh wanted to try again with a Major label and Phonte saw how much money The Foreign Exchange made independent and vowed never again to sign his life to someone else.

Signing to OVO would also be out of the question. Little Brother wasting away in Canadian tents ghostwriting for Drake doesn’t even remotely sound like something they would do.

Interesting the Cole thing though. I don’t think i’ve ever heard Cole mention or talk about Little Brother in-depth

paltry amount of dates for this and none even remotely close to me but i've seen them twice before (once with foreign exchange). to the brehs that have the opportunity and are on the fence, GO. they put on a hell of a show and have a great stage presence. and typically will meet up with fans afterward, snap pics, sign merch etc. really humble dudes.

Man I need one of them LB baseball caps. I forgot to hit the merch table and after the concert I jetted, standing for four hours in Js is not comfortable.

Just got back in from seeing them in Philly. The show was fire even with a quick emergency stop cause an ol head fell down. The show kept going on as usual. Phonte and Pooh are hilarious too had the crowd hype the whole time. Even after they were done we started to chant their name so loud and much to the fact they came back out and performed one more song for us. If you're able to, make sure you go to one of these shows dont miss out especially with the way Phonte and Pooh sound about touring (basically over it lol understandable though).

Was gonna wait in line to get either a shirt or my poster signed by Pooh and Suda but that line was too long so I left. Also I was not expecting to see Rory there. Didn't know he was helping with the touring:russ:

Phonte had me feeling like he’s about to go into standup at the Brooklyn show
