It's cute, and yes i get the concerns about teaching your kid to be confrontational. but as long as he's not over doing it every interaction he has with her, and is also teaching her to be well behaved, she should be fine. On the other side you can also look at this as lesson on how to stand up for yourself.

I would say you only have a good eight years of that shyt. My son turns seven in a couple of months. Love him to death and it's been incredible watching him grow and evolve over the years. I was just thinking a while back that there will be one day when it will be the last day that I ever physically pick him up. That day is fast approaching.

Edit: I think I may have misunderstood your post.

If you get in the gym and get your lifts up, you will keep being able to pick him up with ease. What is your deadlift right now?

The kid didn't understand what the dad was talking about. She wasn't being confrontational..kids more weird and unpredictable at that age. Just so happens pops caught it at the right timing.
