You can call me a conspiracy theorist, but I feel like reviewers will shyt on something anticipated to get views in the same way Facebook uses anger porn with politics to get views on articles.

I don't think anything is possible of keeping up with the original, but there's no way Netflix releases it with this much promo if it's as bad as these reviews say aka making it seem like it's death note bad.

This has looked like butt from the jump tho. The teaser looked like they cosplay. That lost session video was horrible. The bathroom fight was stiff then a bytch. Aint nothing about this looked good.

Maybe I'm simple, but I thought the teaser was pretty good. It's always going to look a bit odd when compared to the original considering you can do a lot more with a cartoon than you can in real life.

You might have a point if Netflix wasn't already batting a 0 for infinity track record with these trash ass live action anime adaptations up till now. FMA, Bleach, DEATH NOTE (:scust:) were all unsalvageable doo doo beyond belief. Anyone who thought this'd be any better just because they threw enough money at Yoko Kanno to convince her to churn out some new songs for it was fooling themselves. The few times a Netflix original in general isn't complete and utter :trash: critics have been eager to lap it up, see Russian Doll, Stranger Things, etc. Ain't no conspiracy, this is just another atop the endless pile of trash that is basically every english language live action anime adaptation breh, sorry to say it. Honestly ONLY exception to that norm being the Wachowski's Speed Racer. :wow::ufdup:
