Animation is the way to go but tbh they already milked the franchise with half a dozen of those movie and shorts

Granted, in this streaming era they definitely missed/are missing a golden opportunity to make a direct sequel (plot, art style, etc) to the previously mentioned street fighter II animated movie, which is basically the gold standard for animated game adaptations.

or to go the Castlevania route with a multi-season "adult" show
