@IIVI if QBs did go top 4, you running to the podium for MHJ? or cashing in to get a haul & trade back

Probably MHJ there unless a team basically shells out the next few years of 1st-3rd round picks. Teams have got so much smarter regarding this, but many teams can reach.

I'm just not the biggest fan of a single phenomenal WR than I am of WR/RB/TE cores that complement each other and an offensive line that can build a shield around the QB and clear a path for a RB. If I can set myself up for all that with a trade for a single player, I can live with that. I can trade back, some teams first, package up, etc. with the overhaul.

I’m getting serious Deja vu. Drake maye the seems like the prototype of the guy who the mocks are only slotting high bc that’s how consensus USED to be.

But it’s outdated. Since the season ended I haven’t heard good buzz around Maye at ALL. Caleb, Jaden, JJ, Nabors, even Penix and Nix have had buzz with teams/analysts in their corner. None for Drake maye

Some mocks actually still have him going #2 over jaden :what:

I really think he’s goin a lot lower than people think. Chris Simms hinted at this he said teams don’t really scour over the tape until after the senior bowl and he said more teams would see the red flags he saw

I think a huge development that will affect the draft is 3 teams that needed a WR already added a big name WR. Titans got Ridley, Bears got Keenan, Jets got Mike Williams

Bc of that I think Odunze will fall out out the top 10, so Arizona and LA could move down and still get him.

I don’t think the gap between MHJ and Odunze is that large so imagine Arizona trading down w/ Minny and getting Odunze at 11 plus an additional first

Yeah I saw one guy on the Ringer and another that was on the Mina Kimes podcast still saying they have Maye #1 overall. I'm seeing analysis on dude all over the place and the ones high on him basically shrugging off any criticism of his footwork or accuracy issues.

I also wish we knew the evaluators scouting process. Are they watching highlight tapes or watching full games to break down prospects and that's where the difference in opinion comes from. Are they just looking at advanced stats?

They're grading him on the tall and white scale and leaning on his end of season hype. He has the most bust potential out of the top 3. Seems like the QB's who watched his tape aren't high on him.

I don't think NE will draft him at 3, don't think Minny wants him so he might slide. What will be interesting is if he's there when the Giants pick. I can definitely see them making that mistake.

After Caleb and Jayden I'd pass on a QB so I can at least get legit first round talent at another position. NE could trade with Minny, get an O lineman at 11, Penix at 23, WR at 34. That sets them up better than Maye at 3 or even MHJ.

Idk, allen and Williams are both injury prone and older receivers. I can't see Odunze falling outside the top 10

Can't timestamp it right now but JT shyt on him harder than any other QB they discussed. Hit the :scust: multiple times talking about him throwing hitches in the dirt

I think he has talent and could be a starter in the league, but he's 5th to me behind McCarthy and Penix on my board.

Yeq but yet the value equation changes things. It’s gonna be a hard sell to grab a WR3 in the top 10 picks. A WR2 would have been cool bc most offenses top 2 WRs anre interchangeable, plus you need 2 studs pause

But a WR3? its impossible to get him the ball enough to validate what pick

That’s why Bowers is a lock for NYJ bc you kill two birds with one stone: add a pass catcher, but not at a redundant position

My nikka said if he’s such a great QB why don’t he throw good. :dead:

:patrice: Would Odunze really be WR3 in Chi or NY though? Both the former Chargers are "old" and injury prone, and Moore/Wilson are really 2s/1Bs that have been forcefed into 1A roles by their mid offenses IMO.

Has Rodgers ever really fed a TE before? I feel like old ass Mercedes Lewis was the starter in GB his last few years :pachaha:Bowers is a beast, but I heard a draft analyst call him the ultimate version of Kyle Uzecheck(FB from the 49ers, too lazy to google his name) and I can't unsee it now. You can't draft a player that niche over a straight up #1 WR prospect.

I remember Jermichael Finley for Rodgers. He didn't ever live up to the hype/potential though
