Of course the ATL
What u hearing about him :lupe:

If you rememberhe orginally committed to us and then decommitted in October but he's left it open. I keep hearing whispers that he's not sure if we pass enough but he's gonna 5-10 catches a game in this system. It's all about fit for him at this point

We are grossly mismanaging talent right now and it will bite us in the ass if this continues. Recruits are seeing this. Between Eason, Fields, Robertson, and the style of offense we are playing, we're gonna end up only being able to recruit white game manager QBs and Rbs. And even though we've been getting close, i just do see us beating Alabama like that.

At the end of the day, while we've been great the last 2 years, we havent gotten the job done. Period. If Fields transfers and ends up winning the Natty/ Heisman elsewhere and we dont win a ship in the same time span, we're gonna look like fukking jackasses.

My mind keeps going back to this article
In landing five-star Justin Fields, Georgia nets a transcendent quarterback

Ive got to keep it a buck, this is really bad.

Stop it! By all accounts Fields performed well enough in practice to show he is ready to run this offense. This is simply a matter of Fromm being a better player at this time. Fromm isn't the #1 overall pick for his class over Tua for no reason. NFL scouts really love this kid and Goff is a common comparison to him.

Eason from what I've heard wasn't looked as good as they hoped in Seattle. They signed a 4 star kid to compete for the position with him. There is talk that Browning is clearly better than Eason and that he might not be the player they thought he would be.

I can't stand UGA more than most but they haven't mismanaged their prospects. The problem was with Fields, they should have never recruited him. NFL scouts were high on Fromm last year. Had him as the #1 pick for his class then before Fields committed

Im not high on Fromm. That's no secret on this board. I think he's a game manager who is heady and makes the right play but is over hyped and impact overstated. But that's not even the issue im bringing up. The biggest issue that's going to hurt us in the long run is our inability to showcase any position other than RB.

Realistically speaking, if i was Field's or Haselwood's dad there's no way I'd advocate playing at UGA. Just way to many other bigtime schools that let these kids ball out. Look at Robertson. 5 star wr. Was a big time freshman in Cal. Looked like he was on his way to being a first round pick. Comes to UGA and so far he's produced as much as a 2 star scrub. Riley Ridley anywhere else in the country is a 1000 yard wr stud. Has legit first round ability imo. Probably gonna be drafted in the 5th round. Mecole Hardman in the big 12 is Hollywood Brown status. Holloman is a legitimate beast. May be lucky to break 1000 yards receiving in his whole career at UGA. Don't get me started on the Tight end position. This is a real issue. As good as UGA is right now I damn sure dont think we've played to the potential of these kids. At all.

Another issue is the coaching promising things they shouldn't or have no intention of following through with. Look at this tweet . I know the burden of the blame will be placed on Field's since people will just be like "duh what did you think would happen". But it's clear he was not utilized as promised. Even as a spectator, how we played him started to get down right disrespectful. even the commentators at times this year were questioning how we were using him at times. I agree with you on one point, if this was the plan they should've never recruited him. Makes no sense. Just wasted time and resources

You dont have to be high on him. The NFL scouts are. I haven't heard one scout who sees Fields as a better NFL prospect right now than Fromm. Not one.

Eason got beat out by a guy that lead them to a CFP Final and played well. Fields couldn't unseat that same guy. D-Rob had a concussion during part of the year and WR is one of our deepest postions.

Timing was poor on JF1 but Kirby can't let him initially sign elsewhere. That's how it goes with QBs

Eason got hurt. Jake is solid. No hate. I just think his impact and all this "he beat out yadda yadda yadda" is overstated. He got in at the perfect time. Rarely makes mistakes so he's not gonna make you sit him. But he's in an amazing situation. Only Tua and maybe Trevor Lawrence has comparable talent around him. It's the "we have a good thing going dont rock the boat" mentality that has kept Fromm so planted at Qb1. As long as we keep getting top 2 recruiting classes we can win this way, just as long as we don't run into Alabama.

We need to utilize those WRs. That's a big part of the issue

So that's the only thing you took from that whole thing:snoop:. That's not even my main point. That's 100% fine. I hope he gets drafted high. That would be dope.

All the other stuff I wrote is what im concerned about. And mainly a UGA national championship. At the end of the day that's all I want to see

Disagree after watching the SECCG from the top of MBS. The kid was throwing lasers and the angles were A1. They need to let him do more IMO.

Probably his best game to date. Had some great throws. But our offense still staled out at the end of the game. And 1 game doesnt make the QB. Ive always been impressed by Fromm's poise and leadership, but go back and look at his tape. Go back and really sift through the throws and reads. He's good but not great. By draft time I wouldn't be surprised if he's looked at more like an Aaron Murray. I know Jordan Rodgers said he thinks hes gonna go Undrafted ( Wont go that far. That's disrespectful)

Also straight up prototypical pro style QB's dont win National Championships anymore. Other than the Alabama QBs (not even the recent Bama QBs fit this mold) the only one that maybe if you're reaching, fits that mold in the last decade is Jameis. And they were absolutely slinging it.

I just want UGA to win a fukking championship:mjcry:. Not just get close.

Your issues with Fromm don't make sense. Although Fromm didn't win the job outright from Eason he

1.) Knew the entire playbook coming out of Warner Robbins, something Eason did not know

2.) Fromm was a much more vocal leader than Eason the summer before 2017 Fall camp, Eason never established himself as the guy

3.) Kirby left the door open for Eason to get his job back once he was healthy and Fromm beat him out

Saying that Eason got hurt is the only reason Fromm won the job is lazy and misinformed.

And as for this idea that we're mismanaging talent, how? I think @The ADD answered it pretty well but I think Kirby and staff have done an excellent job showcasing and managing talent in the time they've been here. Justin thought he could beat out Jake, he couldn't. You really think Kirby wouldn't play Justin if he thought he was better and more prepared than Jake?
