Fresh off our first national title appearance since the days of Herschel and Dooley, UGA prepares for the 2018 season after losing 6 starters to the NFL (including Roquan Smith, Sony Michel, Nick Chubb, Lorenzo Carter, etc). With 2nd team preseason All SEC QB Jake Fromm returning (and the heir apparent and #1 ranked QB recruit Justin Fields waiting and ready), the best OL in CFB and a gang of new and highly recruited players on defense ready to make a name for themselves, you can see why optimism is as high as ever for any UGA squad coming into the season. Schedule is soft but comes down to a few games, Week 2 at South Carolina, Auburn here and most likely the SEC Championship game. Anything less than the SECCG/CFP berth is a failure for HC Kirby Smart, now in his third season.

@AVXL Georgia gonna have a down year this season by ya'lls inflated expectations. I got ya'll going 10-2 or 9-3 this. Losses to Tennessee, LSU, possibly Auburn. You'll also fail to make the SEC Championship Game.

However, before you get mad, just know I got ya'll winning the national championship in 2019. So while 2018 will be a down year, 2019 should be a magical year.

I don't think it's a scorching take to say the expectations should be high this year. East is cake and we should be a CFP finalist (despite the weak schedule). If this was Richt Era UGA I'd be concerned after last yr, Kirby in year 3 has established a new culture...it's time to elevate the program now

This ain't Butch Jones Tennessee no more. Even though I'm not that invested in this college football season, I can tell you that Georgia is gonna lose to someone they shouldn't. I think that team is gonna be Tennessee. Before the blowout last year, this series has been noted for the close games. Even when Georgia has been far superior in the past they have played close games against Tennessee (especially at Sanford stadium).

Even if Tennessee don't get ya'll, someone else will that ya'll should beat.

UGA won't win more than 10.5 regular season games (Vegas season total line)

However, that should still be enough to win the East and go to Atlanta.

It will be hard to repeat last year's success, but UGA is a title contender for 2019, 2020, and so forth as long as Kirby is there. I'm looking forward to UGA/SCar this year.
