Apparently there's only 6,000 black people living in the entire state in total. 
The Great Plains are physically beautiful. I love nature so I could actually live there, but there are simply not enough black folk to take such a risk.

Just looked it up and they have a Mayor who is a refugee from Liberia.

I was offered a full ride to Montana State and The University of Wyoming. One of the Wyoming coaches used the phrase "colored" and not in a liberal "POC" type of way when my folks asked him about the type of support black people have in these towns...
Needless to say I didnt go to Wyoming or Montana lmao

A chick i know, aunt got a full ride to Montana state back in the day, she went got that degree and came back to Louisiana, i can’t imagine living in Montana, the wild life, the isolation and being cold af multiple months a year
