Live Nation and Ticketmaster declared a Monopoly

I’m almost 100% certain if they ever did metadata analysis on all the transactions on the Taylor Swift tour they would immediately find enough fraud to send a ton of people to jail.

Yeah it’s obvious they’re “buying” them all up(aka just creating fake scarcity and demand) so they can resell at a way higher price

I remember a Krs One show ended way early - like 9pm for a later club night. We arrived WHILE he was still on stage and were denied entry and couldn't even go to the club night instead!

I called Ticketmaster and the lady was hella rude to me!

Ticketmaster seemed to win cause of their brand-name.

They BEEN strange. But they lost TONNES of money in lawsuits over the years so it caught up with them, and it seems to continue.

Oh well, it gave me one of my best hip hop moments!

Cause Kool Keith played the same night so we went there.

After the show I told Keith

"You know Krs had a show here tonight as well!?"

And Keith's response was legendary....

"Oh ya? Where's Kris at?"

This has been going on since the 90s (artists complained about Ticketmaster being a monopoly). Im , but used to be you could walk into Sears and buy a concert ticket. Used to be cheap to go watch Georgetown play at the Capital Center

I’m no expert on antitrust law but when Live Nation and Ticketmaster merged like 15 years ago it was obvious to anyone with a pulse it was a monopoly.
A lot of people say it was anger over no one being able to get Taylor Swift tickets and not the actual facts of it being a predatory monopoly that generated the momentum to get this case rolling.

The righteous anger of young pawgs finally brought us justice
