On top of that, polight is someone who professed to be well versed in the law. So it was honestly no excuse for him not to do some kind of public statement declaring his innocence.

My position doesn't change, we, especially as black men, need to be all about innocence until proven guilty. I just had a childhood friend released from prison for murder that he didn't commit declared his innocence from the beginning but he signed a confession that we now find out was forced. So we still need to be all about letting everything play out. I'm just no longer going with "my lawyer said I can't speak about it" crap no more.
