Poverty, less education, obesity. That's where our people originally from in this country but I can't do it. But I understand why many Black people prefer southern living over anywhere else. You wanna see your people as much as possible and afford to keep a roof over your head.
I'm sure the major southern cities are much better for obvious reasons. Those rural areas are something else.

Poor diet. Only eating soul food and junk/fast food will send you to an early grave. Dumb nikkas killing each other over nothing lowers the life expectancy rate too
I hauled my black ass back to the South after a decade and a half in the Midwest.
Them are some special kinda racists out there. In the South, white people are used to Black people? We seem to coexist in a weird way after so long of dealing with each other very closely.
Out there, the hardcore racists see Black people as aliens. Seems like there's not a long history of living among each other. Seems like they feel they are being invaded by non whites after centuries of segregation.

Black people in general have a lower life expectancy and the majority of the black population is in these regions. As well as some of the most impoverished communities in the country, also attributing to the lower life expectancy. Its not just "bEcAuSe fRiEd cHiCkEn"
