Black people in general have a lower life expectancy and the majority of the black population is in these regions. As well as some of the most impoverished communities in the country, also attributing to the lower life expectancy. Its not just "bEcAuSe fRiEd cHiCkEn"

If I were to ever leave the south, it would be to them Great Plains states or west, excluding California and Arizona. Not surprised at our life expectancy numbers.
