lizzo’s confidence, however, is built on a stack of lies and ultimately detrimental to society if people go around thinking they’re better than they are without accomplishing anything or thinking they’re cute despite resembling the hippos at the zoo. It’d be one thing if she was cocky because of her music. It’s entirely different if she thinks she’s sexy and shoves it in everyone’s face.

I hate being lied to and have no sympathy for folks who perpetuate lies to the point where it infects society and we can’t say anything about it in public because we’ll be shamed. It’s Orwellian. If lizzo was an isolated entity and didn’t push some fat is love narrative, I wouldn’t care, but this land whale is emblematic of unearned self esteem pervasive among western women.
