I disagree. LL had 3 verses with absolutely no let up. All direct shots and rebuttals, even threw some strays at Mike Tyson and Wyclef. He was on a rampage when he walked into the booth.

People always blame Clef but as you state yourself his projects kept getting worst and worst. To me Clef gave him his most solid project. His ear for beats is trash, so can Clef really be blamed?

I think LL was at a point in his career where he felt towards the end, and then you had the new upstart that everybody is raving about. He was projecting his own insecurities on to what Canibus said.

he didn't take it as disrespect. His career wasn't where it once was and this gave it life with a fake beef he created in his own mind. The fake beef motivated him to create a couple more dope albums years following with GOAT and 10. It was all bullshyt from the beginning and he knew it.
