Wow, where to begin?

Two "hits" in over a decade does not equal relevance.
85 to 05 is 20 years, not 30, but his albums were barely Gold so I wouldn't count past 2000, factually speaking.
What does Kool Moe Dee have to do with anything? Do you know who Melle Mel is?

It does actually. Considering how he spaces time between albums I'd argue that being able to make hits after going 20 years deep is very impressive and relevant.

I didn't count that J-Lo track neither.

He was the only 80s rapper to endure the golden 90s era and just before the ringtone era.

Rappers have 5 year runs and fall off...

What does Melle Mel and the old guard of hiphop have to do with LL ? He outlasted Rakim, Juice Crew, Kane and a host of other 80s relics.

When Barry Sanders and Jim Brown left the game they were still young and the best at their position. They left because of principal not lack of love for the game. It would be like a rapper on top of his game and still relevant retiring because he doesn't like his label or his deal. I just want to see a rapper that has accomplished a lot to walk away on top.

I doubt it'll ever happen.

The Black Album.
