LL had bread before he even thought of acting seriously. He was the biggest rapper (save maybe Run-DMC) on Earth doing world tours in '86. As a teenager. He's gone platinum at least 5 times, has dozens of classic records and owns his catalog. He acts because he enjoys it. He could tour and sell out shows on his classics for the rest of his life.
