Lol prime G Unit was so ridiculous and over the top with the goon shyt :mjlol:

I been bumping a lot of songs from "Beg For Mercy" lately and them goon raps were so over the top :laff: :laff:

I don't doubt 50 and some nikkas in his circle were really about that life, but they was really wildin' on wax back then :pachaha: I remember in 50's audio book he said Yayo saw some nikkas that had beef with G Unit back then and Yayo wanted to run up on them wanting smoke and 50 was like :whoa: not because 50 was scared, but because it was an industry event and they couldn't really wild out like that at this specific event.

I LOVE THAT shyt

I'm the talk to hit every barbershop and beauty salon
'Cause these other nikkas that rap ain't on the shyt that I'm on (yeah)
'Cause 50 this, 50 that, 50 stay with a gat
32 shots in the clip, hollow tips in the Mack
But when I come through, shh! The talkin' stop
My money long now, I can make the Pope get shot

Now, we can blow an hour talkin' 'bout the stones I rock
All the hoes I got, 'cause he stunts in the drop
Now Nas he love the kids, 50 on that killer shyt
That big mobster bad man, BGF guerilla shyt
I'm markin' my music like diesel on the block
So if you with me, you gon' eat and you gon' starve if you not

:wow:

50 fell off when he went super gangsta over the top thug

some of the engaging bars on the come up was showing a degree of vulnerability:

from the last shoot out, i got a dimple on my face
its nothing, ill go after mase fanbase

momma said what happen to us is part of gods plan
so at night when i talk to him i keep my gun in my hand

the hook and bars in many men

I know death is promised, I don’t fear getting murked,
But it’s when a nikka halfway kill ya, homie it hurts

Either I'm tripping off the ecstasy
or I could feel the world turning, I'm havin flashbacks, I can feel the shells burnin

....that kinda shyt made the music more relatable

soon as it was someone worth hundreds of millions talking about killing everyone all the time and being super gangsta, it became kinda generic IMO
50 fell off when he was under label pressure to create another in da club. If he had pivoted to hate it or love it and hustlers ambition etc style music he would have won. But instead we got tracks like straight to the bank etc.

I think Heat is the most gangsta song of all time. The beat, the vibe, the flow, the whole shyt just sound nefarious.

“if you was smart you’d be shook of me
cause i get tired of looking for you, spray ya mama crib and let yo ass look for me”

is like a crazy line for a record lol. like crazy
that song is the godfather of drill music

you can't say it was label pressure cos he took pride in doing the highest numbers and being the biggest in the game

no one had to twist his arm to get candy shop and amusement park and all that garbage music

yeah it popped numbers in the short term, but the fans realised it was bullshyt music and he never regained them

remember Dre didn't want 21 Questions - he thought that was the wrong image. 50 made the final decision to include it and put it out as a single. that was the right call
but he took it too far with all that other bubble gum shyt. he became ja rule

its too charitable to blame the labels for that

lmfao. the was a bad single but I respect it, dont think it helped in the era banks needed a better first single quality wise

It was something quick. Remember “the big wirlthdrawal” was suppose to be the album, but Banks let his side chick steal the album and leak it. That album was the best gunit album to date.

Banks fukked up and I think that was the last straw with Gunit for 50 cent. You can tell from his interviews the last decade he grew tired of managing them grown men

You know I worked for 50 and G Unit right? There was absolutely pressure from Iovine and them. 50 went and found the I get money beat himself from apex and it blew so they had to cave. They also hated the mixtapes as they got no money from them

The mixtapes weren’t even original music. . It was mostly borrowed beats. Talk about greediness :francis:
