Can someone post some hot Banks bar from the last 10 years

no hate just wanna know

it would be harder for you to find a poor banks verse.
which only exist.
when he was put in a element of blatant obvious culture thief taboo no no style commercialism.
all by proxy from being obligated from G unit.
past that,...you would be hard pressed to find a low quality banks outing. Only low marks for banks is clarity.
which comes via mixing and engineering.
which has only been done really right one time with dre on don't push me. Past that and this is rap.
where you supposed to know how to work an equalizer. There are no negative marks on Lloyd banks as an emcee or artist stand point.

50 of Lloyd Banks' Best Punchlines - XXL

These are just punchlines. I remember this article but haven't looked at it in a long time but I'm guessing its 2008 and before that. This probably isnt counting 2009 and on when he switched it up and became a problem x2

This thread is for all the people saying banks don't got fans :russ:nobody discrediting X but we know what's what

Big L being DMX's top 5 rappers though:patrice:

with the criteria & names given, Big L is definitely up there in that mix.

he was THAT great.

How many other rappers did he tell him to quote?
The band people couldn't even get juicy right. Why am I expecting a dj to be rap genius?
The easier something is to quote and remember the shallower it is

im not good at reciting rappers' bars on the spot in mid-argument either, but fatman scoop had no problem quoting rakim's chit in the same video.

juicy was a hit record and all, but it wasnt nearly as big or important as its made out to be in hindsight.

Not just thecoli, New York

ehh. its moreso the coli/internet.

theres a gang of rappers new york rides hard for before banks.

Banks been holding nikkas down for the last decade and X has been a huge disappointment

Most people on twitter and Instagram are in agreement too :manny:

the internet.

and how was DMX a huge dissappointment?

In 2020 or in his prime? Because let's not kid ourselves, DMX has sounded terrible for over 10 years. The voice and intensity is what always pushed DMX into a top tier position...ironically he is questioning Banks lyricism tho, lol. Lyrically, lyrics wise, Banks would clean X's clock, I dont see how it's even a debate

The thing about Banks is, even when he was much more incomplete and one dimensional he could have gotten on a track with X and showed him up.

You could argue Banks hit his actual prime, as an artist (certainly not as a star) post PLK. X's prime was over by grand champ. That negates nothing about his impact but if we talking about lyrics, Banks is on some other shyt.

if we talkin prime, this proves otherwise about having his clock cleaned. DMX would prolly hold his own. But his overall performance would outdo Lloyd imo

damn, i wouldnt say all that, I think Lloyd is cool.
Altho I will say I understand where you coming from and i can prolly see where DMX is coming from to.

idk about the DMX now tho bruh
but prime "in shape" DM? Absoultely agree with you there

I think maybe I wrote it or you read it wrong.

DMX can not fukk with Lloyd Banks, in a nutshell lol, in his absolute prime he would have kicked a hard verse, I have no doubt about that, his mic presence and cadence carry and he wasn't a bad lyricist himself either, but if we're talking word-smithing, it's not a contest.

DMX was out here routinely outshining the likes of jay-z, the lox, mase, etc.

banks is just a walk in the park(pun intended) in comparison to them.
