I’m not underestimating him. I’m one of those people. I’ll support this COTI thing whenever he drops it. But it’s not a ridiculous take to believe that how he handles things like this is more likely to cause a loss in interest than a gain in interest.

The crazy thing is it doesn’t seem they complicated. I think he could generate some decent interest with releasing his next project on streaming platforms, and also on Bandcamp with an option to pay as much as you like (how 38 Spesh does) and press up anywhere from 500 to 1,000 copies on vinyl.

If the project had legit production and good artwork, I think it would do pretty well.

This is the perfect time for him to shine as a indie or solo artist. He has all the resources and can get any producer or feature in his disposal to get a serious buzz.

I mean I still stand by my statement that this isn’t a smart move by banks, and that he’s lucky to still have as large a fan base as he does. It’s a testament to his skill and abilities.

But I did mean it when I said I think it’s not smart to overly tease people in his situation. I think both things simultaneously.
