Considering depth at center those are huge losses. You're banking (no pun) on Duncan's production to remain the same at 39. Long term it's good they have two great assets kawhi and Aldridge. Tony parker is finished, rated 2nd worst pg defensively in many metrics with a great defensive center in splitter helping him. Manus done as well. Corey would be great taking parkers minutes. But that's now done.

Depending on the cap being $67 or $69 million and how much of a discount Duncan will be at, the Spurs could still keep Joseph.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Wish I could find that 95% of big who shoots 61ts and 20 drb% :manny:

Your projecting "concern" on me, I'm talking objectively as a fan of basketball. Spurs were already one of the best offensive teams , losing your best big defender is a huge loss your OK to disagree.

:camby:

You're not talking about this objectively, stop it bruh.

Splitter missed 30 games last year and played 18mpg in the playoffs, huge loss according to you.

Dude is gonna realize he fukked up once he realizes how old the big names on this team are. The future, isn't really that bright for SA.

They got a bunch of stashed players overseas, cap space in future years, they have all their draft picks, and they have great front office/scouting people with a 24 year old defensive player of the year and a 30 year old PF in his prime now.

They're in better position for the future than most franchises...

lol, ok. Can't even get out of the first round as defending champions, but their future sure looks bright with "stashed players".

Explain how I'm wrong ?
Because you are putting WAY too much stock on Splitter who has missed over 50 games the past 2 seasons and the spurs were still able to sustain a high level of defense. Will it hurt them a bit at the rim? Sure, but you are putting way too much emphasis in a position in where the top offensive bigs in the league are either inconsistent or don't have a good enough team around them to compete. Russell Westbrook will give them the most problems because Tony Parker simply cannot contain him and he drives to the basket hard. Harden flops in the playoffs so I doubt the Spurs will worry about him.

What the Spurs have to worry about is the perimeter defense first because all the great teams in the West are stacked at the Forwards and Guards. Marc Gasol will probably feast on them, but the Grizzlies are not good enough to beat them.

Dwight Howard is not consistent enough on offense to worry about.

DeAndre Jordan will be taken care of, get rid of the alley opportunities with him and foul when necessary.

Anthony Davis is still 2-3 years away from the Pelicans building a solid core around him to really threaten anyone.

The Kings are not making the Playoffs, so they don't have to worry about Cousins.

plus cap space, all their picks, probably the best defensive wing duo in basketball, and an all star PF in his prime
