Even if he was overrated, does that make him not a good player? At worst he's clearly an all star level player
IMO it was one of the least needed positions for the spurs, they needed guard play significantly. manu and parker is done, this team goes as far as they go. but this at least puts a good stop gap when Duncan retires. imo this isn't about next season but for the future. having kawhi and LMA is a good base for them.

Taking the most shots on a team that wins doesn't make you the best player. It's the same reasons people overrate Melo.
Like I said, at worst he's clearly an all star level player. It's not a puzzling signing in the least bit. Being overrated doesn't necessarily mean someone is not good. They don't need him to be a franchise player.

If anything, Pop and the Spurs system can help elevate him

I agree. I don't think this puts them over OKC and GS for next year. Parker is ass and Manu is washed.

They also don't have a center on the roster.

Like you said though, they have Kawhi and LMA on pre cap explosion deals, which will give them the ability to build around them in the next two offseasons

It's a great reset button for the next 4-5 years

Why does everyone keep saying San Antonio is a boring city?

They are legit going to have a NFL team there in the next 10 years...probably less...

They were oh so close to stealing the Raiders outright from Oakland last summer...

San Antonio is to the NFL what Seattle is to the NBA...any team that wants a new stadium just tells the city "give us the money or we going to SA"

:scheming: is out here fukking former teammates wives...he out here fukking assistant coaches...during the all star break he running around taking a Spurs medical staff member with him wherever he went for "treatment"

Duncan out here divorcing his white wife and taking the kids and upgrading to a bad latin chick who used to do reality TV...

Pop out here telling the media he having a "meeting" with LMA where really he just showing him where the weed spot and the hoes at...

OKC is going to get CRUSHED by Swag Antonio...

The only reason why they could compete with them after Harden left was that Ibaka is such a tremendous weak side defender that he can fly all over the court and pretty much discourage or stop any real dribble penetration AND recover fast enough to challenge any shot dumped off to a big...

Putting Diaw in the lineup neutralized that and still will...

And now with LMA Ibaka is going to have to stay glued to him cause OKC doesn't have another big man to really even bother LMA at all...

So say goodbye to all that godly weakside defense...

LMA numbers will look pretty pedestrian against OKC...

Problem is with Serge glued to him the entire game Duncan Diaw are going to kill Kanter, and there is going to be no resistance to dribble penetration in the paint...unless Ibaka is coming over to help and just giving LMA wide open 12 footers...and that is fine...

LMA doesn't really hang out around the rim like Spliiter did for Ibaka to even be in position to offer good weak side help

OKC will always have the best two players in just about any series, with a great cast around them. If that teams healthy they are gonna be scary good

Sounds about right, thanks for the simulation

POP wont but up with the diva behavior and neither will Duncan so I doubt LMA will pull that stunt around proven winners, the spurs have shown they can win without him, LMA has not

Will say it will be interesting to see how the Spurs can elevate him...i doubt they'll let him be a black hole there.

Remember this: Riley always makes a comeback

I love LMA and the Spurs as an organization. Mainly because they fukked the Lakers so many times.:pachaha: Nothing but :salute: from me
If the Spurs are successful and Lakers, Celtics and Knicks are trash it counts as a Heat win for me. Sad to see Portland lose out like that. They're a good organization and I've never ran across an annoying Blazers fans so i have no reason to hate.
Lakers are 4-2 against the Spurs in the playoffs with Kobe playing, so who fukked who again?
