I'm happy whenever a team abandon their footballing philosophy to lose in such a manner.

In football, there's always that delicate balance of playing the 'right' football & winning.

The manner in which Brazil went about winning this tournament was unbecoming. Cynical, rigid, overly aggressive, reliant on individual ability of Neymar & Silva, etc. Disgusted.

Hopefully Brazilian football takes a hard, good look at itself & makes radical changes for Russia 2018. Easily the worst performance of their entire history in football. That's massive.

Why not? Hundreds of matches a year are fixed with lots of people watching. And those are hundreds are ONLY the ones we know about. World cup qualifying matches have been fixed but people love to pretend it could never happen on this stage. It isn't implausible. It only takes a couple of people. Who says they bet on a side either? They could've easily bet a total.

This game just doesn't feel right to me.

Most of the world is completely oblivious to betting/gambling and how it really drives things.

The payout is irrelevant, and I neither implied nor stated the stage of the game has anything to with the payout, and I didn't imply you were oblivious to it. I just think you're overestimating people's critical thinking ability.

This is one of the most bizarre sporting events I've ever witnessed and it reeks to me. Absolutely reeks.
