Lmao at the Baltimore accent

Some country bumpkins
I heard a couple of them before, some sounded like they were from Philly, one had a slight NYC accent. They were all born and raised in Salisbury. They sound like an anomaly

To me, they sound like a more country and Southern version of Bmore Black folks but they don’t be pronouncing their to’s/you’d/do’s like y’all, at least not as heavily. They still stretch out the o’s tho, they be saying wooder instead of water (or waddah as DMV Black folks say) over there. At least the ones in Princess Anne anyway. Salisbury and Ocean City nikkas sound a lil more East Coast-ish with it but are still country asf. It’s a lot of things about the Eastern Shore that I find very strange compared to PG and the western half of the state in general. It’s a totally different world on that side of the Bay Bridge I swear.

My ex wife has family over there in Cambridge and I worked with a couple of dudes from Salisbury. They definitely have some weird accents. I knew somebody from Calvert County who sounded similar. He was from the backwoods

It's pretty interesting to me that people from the city and the county have distinct accents if you listen closely enough.

Depends on what part of the city too. I'm from Northeast Baltimore and my accent isn't that heavy.

That’s a good question. I think northern Anne Arundel County is as far south as the Bmore accent gets at the least.
As a matter of fact, I wonder what brehs in the western part of the state sound like....Black folks out in Hagerstown, Cumberland, and all that. Frederick brehs sound like country versions of Mo County and PG brehs.
