school board election with a turnout of 500 out of a possible 25k eligible voters? they are one of the 500.
Is local election voting flawed because only SUPER passionate people and the mentally unstable are willing to take time out their limited schedules to go and take part? We might be on to something here. There's no way to fix it though.

If you could vote with your phone everyone would vote.

:wow:

Security issues and vote integrity would be a huge issue though. I'd love for this to happen in the future. The public hates change though and all kinds of groups will be unhappy with this solution. You alreafy know old people gonna bytch, a segment of poor people gonna bytch (b/c they can't afford phones or data :skip:)....gay people might find a way to bytch :mjlol:, the conspiracy theorists gonna bytch about rigged elections and insecure voting.

doubtful. you can vote absentee and voting rates aren't any higher because of it. i vote in every election that the board of elections sends sample ballots for in the mail. it's pointless most times (my vote being overwhelmed by the wingnuts) but it's only a few minutes out of my day a couple times every few years. i know i waste more time doing bullshyt on the internet, so i'm not going to claim to be this super busy person.

I agree but I think all those things are poor excuses because all of those problems exist now with the current system.
