What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Is that like the male version of feminism? :what:

The opposite. Feminism is women trying to establish equal space on the playing field for themselves. The MRAs want to send women back to the kitchens, because they believe if women have equal access then they're stealing it from more deserving, superior men. It's a whole assortment of weak dudes who hate women.

How else should I see a movement that looks to strip away all the bodily autonomy and civil rights women have fought for?
Well that is an offshoot of what was a movement to fight for legal rights for men in divorce, separation, custody, domestic and criminal situations of which the libra scales are far from balanced....the same way the TRIGGERED ass gender identity warriors have b*stardized the true feminism fight.

Idgaf about either, but your perspective is the same as men who would say "feminazis" and paint that whole movement as angry lesbians when it isnt.

I don't believe this story at all, I think Meltzer just took creative license with some minor BS or offhand comment someone made

ZSJ and Will Oceanspray :camby:

I don't mind TJP from a wrestling standpoint. I'll take him spamming a CAW moveset (like KO) over whatever the hell the other two do. Neither one have discernable personality though, particularly as faces. Everything about TJP other than his moves and back story are meant to be boo'd. ZSJ comes off as smug like Dave Taylor and Chris Adams, but none of the natural charisma of either two.

No.

MRA ≠ Feminism.

Think of it this way. For pretty much all the reasons you think TLR is a cesspool, all the threads about women on there pretty much fall in line with MRA ideals.

Guys, TJP is a true life a$$hole, which is why he never really caught on anywhere despite how talented he is. As a matter of fact, if he wasn't so good, there's no way that Gabe/WWE/TNA/Whoever would keep dealing with his attitude.

Think about this: The guy moved to Florida in '09 trying to get on with either TNA or WWE, didn't work. He caught on with DGUSA/EVOLVE as it was starting, then proceeded to bytch about pretty much everything Gabe related in an interview, which got him dropped with haste. Then he proceeded to play JTTS for PWG, ROH and TNA, which should tell you something (not to mention that he's an MRA, which earns him a fukk off on general principle).

I mean, this situation in and of itself is petty bullshyt. But TJ's ego has fukked himself out of jobs before, and there's a good chance it will again. Check the record.

Here's some info about his time with Dragon Gate:

Indy wrestler T.J. Perkins says he loved his peers in Dragon Gate USA, but hated his boss Gabe Sapolsky

Independent wrestler T.J. Perkins told the Mania Week blog that he left Dragon Gate USA and Evolve because he wasn't making the type of money he felt he deserved. "Long story short, I rode in the equipment truck from Florida to Chicago, Jersey, Philly, or wherever DGUSA/EVOLVE had their shows," Perkins recalled. "33 hours one way. I would go straight to the venue and wrestle, and get right back in the equipment van, unshowered, tired, sometimes hurt, and make the 33 hour drive back to Florida.

"The two-figure income I was making was losing me money ever single trip. With each match I was given more responsibility and always seemed to do a good job for Gabe; he would always rave about me coming back through the curtain. He used to ask me to make lists of opponents I felt were good enough for me, and told me I would be taking Davey's place as the cornerstone for his companies, go on the Japan tours, yadda yadda ludicrous stuff. But the money never went up; in fact his business dropped off so bad that my money went down and sometimes I didn't get paid at all.

"I stuck it out for awhile because I gave Gabe my word; I would give him my best and he gave me his word he would do right by me. He never did. Anyhow, there are much more negative things that came into play with my departure but in the end I was offered a contract with MTV, enough for me to move home, so I did. I told Gabe I'm sorry but if you want to keep me on your cards you have to compensate me like every other place does, ROH, MTV, internationally, indys, etc...

"He said he wouldn't do that so I left. He wasn't even mad until people found out he didn't want to pay me. Then he got upset I guess because he doesn't want to look like the bad guy. So I loved my peers...hated my boss." To read the full interview, visitManiaWeekend.blogspot.com.

Powell's POV: Perkins also ran through some of his prominent matches, which include working with Bryan Danielson, Sheamus, and Davey Richards. He even attempted to charge one of those wrestlers who wanted to know how to apply his leg submission finisher. As for the Sapolsky comments, I always like to remind people in situations like this one that there are two sides to every story.
