I think the general consensus is that Lux won this battle. Like he said at the beginning of the "second" he was gonna just finish his first verse and beat him with a verse and a half (and impressively I think he did)

But I heard this verse and thought... If Lux had gotten all 3 verses out cleanly, I think we would've witnessed the single greatest battle rap performance of all time, hands down. I'm sure this has been discussed before but we recycle every other topic so why not?

Thoughts?

This is one round & he's rapping for 6 minutes interrupted. That's at least 7 1/2 - 8 minutes with the crowd. I don't believe the battle makes the same impact if we'd heard 16 minutes plus of Lux's material, no matter how good it was. They already cut part of his 3rd out in the Youtube release of the battle.
Also this round is really for hardcore battle fans only. Still though, he planned to demolish dude in a pretty intimate way in this round, then demolish Cal in a more general way in the 3rd, so technically it's really really impressive.

I wonder if Cal sees Lux at events and wonders "Yo, you really hated me that much, to do all that?" hahaha

I believe Lux made this up for the video...this was too nasty...

The original 3rd round alone that Smack didn't release killed Cal...

Religion is dumb b
I find it hard to believe he wrote this afterwards...for anyone who still wants to debate he choked "on purpose".

But as far as his 3rd round goes...they cut his 3rd for a reason. Where they cut it off was perfect but unjust for calicoe. The rest of Lux' 3rd fell flat...which it was almost likely they refused to let Lux lose that night..

But this 2nd round tho :salute:

Nah fam , verse was sick but he was spittin like this against Mook and we see how the fans reacted to that battle.

The raps against mock were a little more generic and didn't hit nearly as hard. That crowd would've went nuts at "calicoe got good taste, baby girl we wanna know what happened to yours?" and "when you were in that room, did you give metaphors....... Or real raps?"

And it was his first smack back, I think it would've been epic

Crowd would of boooo'd him long before he got to them bars fam.

Them first 2 rounds and beginning of the 3rd against mook were niiiiiiiice and way better than anything Murda was saying

I guess we just see this differently then... I don't know when the last time you watched Lux vs Cal... but the crowd was hanging off practically every line he dropped at SM2. I think the 2nd here imo actually would've hit harder than the 3rd he actually did drop

Gotta remember the crowd didn't boo him then, even through a choke, or at the battle vs hollow (even though there was a slight dry spot in his 3rd there)

I think the mook battle hurt because the expectations were so incredibly high that he didn't deliver up to it (I actually think it would've went over better on a URL stage though I still think mook would've taken the battle)

He just looked awkward as hell on that stage against Mook. Lux is a face to face type battler, even with real battle rap fans in attendance most of those people were there simply for Budden.

That's really what it was IMO. If Lux had performed those same bars for the URL crowd or for the UW crowd, the response would have been so much better. I still think, with the angle Mook took and the fact he was going second, Mook would have won, but I don't think it would have looked as bad as it did. Add to the fact that there would have been 100 more people on the stage and you wouldn't have Lux standing there looking awkward and like he was shrinking as Mook took the crowd away.

His 2nd verse>>>>>> his 3rd imo. But like homie said above I think the crowd woulda got restless and mighta booed him in his 2nd especially the part when he start rappin bout the Bible, add that to the fact he choked in his 1st I think nikkas woulda been like " fukk kinda shyt is dis". Now with that said, he obviously would get the crowd back but imo the battle wouldn't look so lopsided.

And don't think that crowd was above booing Lux cause like somebody mentioned earlier the last 3/4ths of his 3rd(that was edited out) got either no reaction or was close to gettin booed.

First time ever a nikka wins 2 rounds and loses.
Man, Calicoe lost all three rounds, even with the choke. Lux's 1st verse up to the choke >>> any of Cal's verses. Cal really dropped the ball on this one... with all of the information out there on Lux he decided to come with some random disses, that battle should have been full of personals.
