I wasn't addressing whether you thought he was good or not. I'm saying what you see and hear in 'real life' doesn't really reflect anything but that. The way the music is sold and marketed now, doesn't really require Diasporan Royalty to approve of or enjoy a certain thing.

He's 'poppin' enough to find a niche of people to sell enough records to go gold. You not being within that niche doesn't mean he's not 'poppin', just means he ain't making music for YOU.

As for Kendrick, I don't know a lot of Kendrick fans in 'real life' either. nikkas round my way listen to Messy Marv more. Shall I just say his sales/hype are imaginary? Or just say well the majority of the people buying his music are cacs so it doesn't count?
