Honestly I don't know much about fraternities either. People say that one of the many benefits of joining a fraternity are the parties. But what's so special about a fraternity party that you couldn't otherwise experience in a regular college party?

Also has anyone tried making their own social club in college without the homo-erotic initiations? When I go back to school I plan on making a sort of 'travel club' where members of the club fly to other countries (i.e.: Brazil, Dominican Republic, etc.) during school vacations.

That's not a bad idea. Couldn't you get group rates or something like that?

I've always wondered about the sororities. It seems pretty fun and stuff.. I was pretty close to joining one, but I just couldn't deal with having another female put her hands on me. For an extended period of time. While I did nothing about it.
And on top of that they told us on multiple occasions, "your grades WILL drop."
I was like uh... no thanks. I still wonder what it's like though.

The issue that I have with people in frats/sororities is that most of the people i know that have pledged love to boast and brag about it. Not to mention when I use to go to the club the corny dancing ish they use to do to draw attention. A lot of the time i've been around them, a lot of them DO come off as insecure and feel entitled.

I can't even front though, i've come to realize black people "rep" it more than any other race.

There is no college in PA that has a respected and large NPHC scene so try again with that one. There are no renowned chapters or significant chapters of anything in that whole state, besides on Lincoln's campus. Maybe your friends are in white frats? IDK or give fukk.

In fact, you went to a white school, which gives even more credence to what I'm saying and leads to a higher probably of what I was saying when I mentioned chapters where members more than likely aren't that well connected if they are NPHC
