HOl' up. i just went in to click on one as if i was ordering one from best buy. it wouldnt allow me to choose my shipping info? i clicked on shipping and it would default back to "in store pickup". that wasnt the case early on when i actually got my pre order months ago. even though i did store pickup anyway. but you could do both back then. I wonder if they are trying to completely kill off the need for camping out the night of its release? meaning. everyone can order them right now for store pickup. to the point where their wont be any left IN STORE for people camping outside waiting to get into the store.
lastly, does anyone know how many xbox ones were shipped in the US vs how many PS4's were shipped? if it was the same or xbox one shipped less. yet ps4 is still in the lead. then there's a pre-order issue. but if it ps4 shipped less then xbox one. then of course ps4 would sell out earlier. and as a matter of fact. i checked best buy, and amazon just last week. all Day one edition Xbox ones were sold out. they must have released some more they already had in stock which again makes me wonder if it will be a "NO CAMPING" situation or is it that they got more orders in from MS?

and to prove the fact that there were no day ones at best buy see this article from july

this statement answers one of my maybe's which makes this thread an official STRUGGLE THREAD

The more sinister theory is that Microsoft and Sony could be creating an artificial shortage in order to win marketing points by claiming the console is sold out. That seems unlikely, because the companies directly benefit by getting the maximum number of consoles out to gamers as quickly as possible. Profits come from software sales, and if people don't have the hardware they won't be buying software. It's most likely that Microsoft and Sony are just being very careful about what they promise to retailers. If the manufacturing problems get solved in time, more units can always be allocated for pre-orders

since the orginal xbox, microsoft produces manufactures the final systems in mexico(parts in china),due to close proximity, they are able to produce more units to the masses, cutting shipping costs and wait, which why in the history of the xbox, their has NEVER been a drought unlike Sony and Nintendo who have history of being out of stock upwards of 5 months at times
More units on the market=more units sold

there should be more pre orders for the Xbox one if it's always open to ordering. no sense in arguing.
