I swear most dudes on here have no remembrance of basketball history. Even Hakeem Olajuwon had very little offensive game outside of the paint early in his career. The reason you never saw that Dream Shake and his other fantastic highlights until the early 90's is because he didnt have all that at first. Karl Malone wasn't always money with that 17 footer in his 2 years. He used to get the ball off the pick from Stockton and cut straight to the basket.

Griffin is going into his 3rd full year, he knows his FT's suck. He knows his mid-range game is lacking. I'm sure he'll get better.

DeAndre Jordan is the one who they need to be concerned about. I didnt even know that man was left-handed until a couple weeks ago b/c I never saw him do anything but dunk.

Exactly.

People don't want to let players develop before they're ready to shyt all over them. I remember at the beginning of his career everyone was shytting on LeBron and saying the reason he would never get to MJ/Kobe status was because he couldn't defend on that level. Fast forward a few years, and he's one of the best defenders in the league. Guys like Hakeem, Malone, and Ewing didn't have great offensive games at the start of their careers; fast forward and all of them have great jump shots for big men.

Hell, Blake's already getting 20 points per game without hardly any moves. And from all accounts he has a tremendous work ethic. Just wait until he has a consistent mid-range jump shot and a couple of go-to post moves; if he develops AND keeps his aggressiveness, then he'll :eat: for years.

This is pretty simple. He's already getting better offensively, look at the playoffs. (He has to become smarter and confident about his abilities though) Secondly, he's easily one of the most marketable non conflict athletes out there :smugfavre: Thirdly, that's your franchise player and Blakes name alone fills the seats, jersey sales, etc. This is a business, why wouldn't they give him the max? :yeshrug:

The notion holds true for any superstar. I just don't want to see Blake rot away in that awful organization; the owner is terrible and so is his coach.
:snoop:
This aint "those Clippers" anymore you dumb shyt. Everything is legit from the world class practice facility all the way to the GM, personal, and our big Jew owner is spending money. And more than likely we'll have a new coach next year. If we were still 'those Clippers' then Paul would not have came here nor would we have made the post season. So kill that bullshyt.

-on that note I hope we max Blake out. He puts butts seats and that jumper will be wet next season. I like Paul on the Clipps but I don't give a fukk if he re-signs or not

doesnt sound like you've watched him much, breh.

He started off this year shooting that 17 footer a lot, putting the ball on the floor, pulling up. But he started missing it and lost confidence in it,, so he went back to what he does best. Drive and layup/dunk

Given his ability to drive, ppl will have to sag off of him. So if he improves that mid-range shot, and his FT's, he could be a 24-25 ppg player.

Main problem I see is he releases his shot too late. He releases the ball on teh way down instead of at the peak. I can't imagine he hasnt been told this by some asst. coaches.

Smh nikka.. I know my shyt .. as I said he can't do anything hr couldn't do 3 yrs ago

You don't erase your whole history in one fukking year. The Clippers are one of the worse franchises in sports, period.

Dude puts people in the stands...his talent may not be worth a max contract...but his worth to the franchise as a business will get him that money.

I remember our GM using this logic when we gave hilly the Max............man that sure did back fire when the stadium was empty and gilly chillin in his suit for years

And just like the wiz the clips are forced to give the Max

:smh: @ you getting gassed over a year of success.
I've hit about 10 Clipp games a year for the past 11 years nikka. I was in the stands during the most losing seasons ever. Even in the Sports Arena(before Staples Center was built) Trust me "Gassed" is not in my vocabulary breh

That's when dudes had them paper bags over their heads.. at the Sports Arena. You strictly went there to see the other team play. That dirty dingy building was literally a hell hole
