This ongoing myth that has been going on for 15 years
Everytime I hear Takeover was the better beat, I'm like
Not a bad beat, nice rock inspired instrumental. But it's very monotone, and not really a stand alone trademark beat. To be honest, it's just... ehhh
Ether on the other hand. When that first beat drops before the drums kick in
Ether sounds like an event, like a victory, like someone's about to break something down, almost menacing
How can anyone say Takeover was better
And what is with Jay stans bringing up which is a "better beat" in a rap battle? Like that's what wanted to listen to the disses for. It's like Jay stans want to put out arbitrary statements to give false victory
No Vasoline, The bytch in Yoo, Ether, Takeover, 2nd Round KO, Long Kiss Goodnight. etc
None of these disses had any beats that took the world by storm anyway. The only one with one semblance of a smooth melody was Tupac's Hit Em Up
Bringing up how good the beats are in a diss battle in general is just dumb
