And here's a quote about Mr. Non Violent himself, Dr. Martin Luther King:

NOIR: Dr. King was a nonviolent man, but even he understood the realities of self-defense and protecting his home and his family in the face of life-threatening violence. This is why he tried to apply for that gun permit when the house where his wife and daughter lived was firebombed. When Dr. King was denied, he did the next best thing and surrounded himself with people with guns. Which was evidenced by one of Dr. King's advisors describing his home as an "arsenal."

Personally, I'm strapless :mjcry: but please believe I'm bout to get my weight up heavily. This cat that works in the same org as me open carries all day long in the hood. Nobody says shyt to him.

If you don't mind me asking, what does he open carry: rifle or handgun? I've just rarely heard of brothers open carrying and was wondering about the reaction from the public.

It was a handgun. I seen him with it in the barbershop on a holster. He seemed just made calm and comfortable about it. I ain't ask him shyt though, but I never felt threatened.

A cac probably would have had a different response though :mjpls:
