They gave up on Vucevic way too soon, and Collins didn't even play him when he was in Philly.

Now he's a starting center for the Magic breaking Shaq and Dwight's team rebounding records
:whew:

It's not just Bynum. Richardson came in the deal and he's out for the season.

exactly.

people ignoring this.

Doug Collins never lasts more than 3 yrs at any coaching gig because he wears on his players. If you watch the games you can see it, the players are playing like robots and scared to make a mistake because if they do they will be benched for a week. The players have resorted to tuning him out, even by laughing at him on the sidelines. They've quit on him. :manny:

And stop with the excuse that he doesn't have any talent on the roster because any real Sixer fan knows that Doug Collins controls player personel and he had full responsibility in bringing in these players.

yea, the players have been tuning him out for months now.

i doubt that he'll be back next year.

Its about that time that time in his tenure where Doug usually gets bored and wants to get back in the announcing game. He was set up from the start this year with them trading for an injured Bynum. But Doug to me is the kind of coach that can make a bad team into a decent one, but i dont think he can make a good team into a title contending one.

Doug Collins' problem is that he's bytchmade. Plain and simple.

He a play not to lose type dude, not a winner at all...doesn't show trust in his players. That doesn't build camaraderie with a team.

Doug Collins always memorizes the stat sheet right after a loss. He probably has photographic memory because he talks about it in the press conf like he studied it. Poor guy. Well he's always got a spot in the TNT broadcast booth, I imagine.

And yea, he showed what he thinks about that Bynum trade.

Yeah I love Doug but it just seems like he's coaching in the wrong era. Young players are so sensitive (ET) and can't handle criticism. Guys like Lavoy Allen can't deal with a coach that is so demanding. Guys are just soft mentally. You notice the throwback type players: Wilkins, Ivey, Thad etc. play well under Doug and really respect him. Problem is, guys like that just aren't that talented. A coach can't win getting the most out of the hustle guys, he needs to cater to the stars. Doug's just not a good fit for this team or 90 percent of the league for that matter.
